About Conference

North Eastern Region (NER) of India due to its unique topographic, physiographic and diverse socio-economic characteristics has been a challenging region for developmental activities. Remote Sensing & GIS is rapidly advancing and the technology is put into use for many applications.

As such large number of seminars is organized across India but not in this part of NER. Many researchers have been working on remote sensing in NER as well as elsewhere that needs to bring in one platform to get the benefits of its outputs for common people. The proposed seminar is planned to bring the professionals, researchers and academia, students and others there by expanding the scope of its use in different applications.

This Seminar will focus on Optical, Microwave, LIDAR and Hyper spectral remote sensing including high resolution data processing with special emphasis on issues and challenges of North Eastern Region. The outcome of the seminar is expected to bring out recommendations/ resolutions that will help in expediting the developmental planning of the region.
